Some events become traditions. The organizers are stuck doing the work year after year. It's nothing bad, just a lot of work. Behind the scenes it's always hectic, there are always problems to be solved. While the party people have made plans for a trip, the organizers are keeping their fingers crossed that things won't go out of hand and everyone will have a good time. The 2019 Freedom BMX Awards took place in Aurich at the Adventsjam last week. Timm Wiegmann's 20th jam edition played host to the annual award show and it turned out that these riders went home with an award.

We're not quite there yet but X-mas cards are already popping up. Some go out of their way to create a good one and since we're all one big BMX family we will post up the ones that reach us. The first one is by Union Square Footwear, a new company out of New York from the folks behind Bulldog Bikes. They're using the holiday season to realease their brand and wish everyone a Merry X-Mas at the same time.
Looks like we've all survived another year of BMX together and as usual, we're looking forward to bigger and better things to come. From everyone at FATBMX we wish you a merry bmX-Mas and all the best in 2020. We have yet to create our own X-Mas card but we are looking forward to yours so we can post it up right here on www.fatbmx.com. Use our Instagram account (@fatbmx), Twitter account (@fatbmx) or reach us through facebook (@fatbmx or @fatbmx.com) to send us your photographic message. A good old e-mail works as well. The contact info is listed right here.
We've added flyers of events happening in the last part of 2019. Most are being held indoors but not all of them. It's up to you to contact the event organizers for info on their event so see if the light is green for the happening to go forward. We're looking forward to 2020 event dates as well so if you've got something going, send us the info or better, add the event yourself.
Add your event to the FATBMX Event calendar so more people will get to know about your race or contest or jam that you're putting on.
We're here to spread the love but you figure out yourself where you need to go. Contact the event organizers before you head over. Times/dates might have changed and we take no responsibility for that. Get together and enjoy BMX, the best thing in the world.
2019/2020 Flyers inside as well as the 2019/2020 event dates. Nothing else to do!?
Get out there and have some fun. Meet new people, visit new places, take some pics for your instagram, pull new tricks, become a better person and maybe win something along the way.

Red Bull BMX seemed to happen on the regular years ago. Not so much anymore, unfortunately because when Red Bull puts something on, you know it's going to be a good time. Drew Bezanson and Daniel Wedemeijer were part of the Red Bull Framed Reaction held in Amsterdam back in 2013. Both riders are now the team leaders for Red Bull Uncontained which will happen on Saturday 30 November next.
Uncontained promises to be big. With stacked containers and a roll-in of 14 meters, expect the riders to take it to the sky in De Papierfabriek in Nijmegen. The Team competition Drew vs Daniel will bring some top riders to The Netherlands next week. Drew's team has a bunch of party animals in it. Cory Walsh,
Recognized for legendary style and performance, the French freestyler infuses his personality and a pop of color into this classic with a first-ever BMX Wafflecup outsole. This holiday, Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, proudly drops a brand-new Matthias Dandois signature colorway in the Old Skool Pro BMX. The global team rider and seven-time world freestyle champion’s shoe-of-choice represents an upgraded Vans classic, enhanced for BMX-specific performance with a first-of-its-kind Wafflecup outsole meant to increase support and pedal feel.
The Matthias Dandois signature colorway adds a playful-yet-purposeful pop of color among an otherwise sea of black. Infusing his personality into the shoe, Matthias has added his custom “Dent-Doigt” (pronounced “daen-dwah,” like his namesake) heel graphic, which translates to “tooth-finger” in English.
A visual depiction comes to life on the custom UltraCush insole, all developed by Matthias’ tattoo artist and friend, who inked the rider’s original inspiration for the graphic: a tattoo on his right forearm.
Vans UltraCush HD sockliner delivers the highest level of impact cushioning, keeping the foot close to the pedal without packing out over time. The shoe is built with Vans Wafflecup BMX sole, the sport’s first-ever vulcanized cupsole, specifically designed to improve support without sacrificing grip and pedal-feel. The Old Skool Pro BMX is complete with Duracap, reinforcing high abrasion zones and prolonging
